Record-Breaking Generosity at Cornmill Shopping Centre as RBL Poppy Appeal Raises Over £15,000

DARLINGTON, 11th December, 2025
Cornmill Shopping Centre is delighted to announce a phenomenal success for the Royal British Legion (RBL) Poppy Appeal 2025, with a total of £15,394.66 raised at its dedicated stand. This incredible figure yet again surpasses the previous year’s total, demonstrating the exceptional generosity of Darlington’s shoppers.
The substantial funds collected by the RBL stand at Cornmill will contribute to the overall Darlington total, which is also promising to be a record-breaker this year. All donations are utilised by the Royal British Legion to provide vital assistance to veterans and their families across the UK, including those in and around the Darlington area.
A successful campaign of this scale was made possible through strong internal and external partnerships.
